An established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to oversee production planning and scheduling activities in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for aligning customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory, and production priorities to ensure exceptional delivery performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the master production schedule to support customer demand and plant capacity.
- Create and release production work orders while balancing priorities across multiple departments.
- Analyze capacity requirements and adjust production plans to maximize throughput and on-time delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and improve inventory accuracy through effective planning strategies.
- Lead daily production planning activities and coordinate scheduling priorities with manufacturing leadership.
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, pull systems, and visual inventory management processes.
- Track production performance, shipping metrics, and schedule attainment to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams during APQP activities and new product launches.
- Resolve scheduling challenges while maintaining customer commitments and production efficiency.
Qualifications
- 7 years of production planning, scheduling, or production control experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
- Knowledge of capacity planning, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles; pull system experience is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and planning.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
