Maintenance Supervisor – 3rd Shift

Our client in Plainfield, IN is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to lead third‑shift maintenance operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a high‑visibility leadership role for a technically strong supervisor who enjoys being on the floor, developing people, and driving equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support daily maintenance activities for injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians while remaining hands‑on as needed
- Plan, schedule, and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve reliability
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and lead root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, safety, efficiency, and quality
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and OSHA requirements
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and other departments to support business and customer needs
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and facility projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, labor tracking, and equipment records
- Support recommendations for equipment upgrades and capital investments
- Promote a clean, organized, and professional work environment
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 4 years in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role
- 4 years managing people and/or maintenance projects
- Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- 6 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Background supporting high‑speed production equipment
Education:
- Required: Associate’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
