A growing and highly respected manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance & EMS Leader to drive environmental strategy, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with operations, engineering, and site leadership teams to ensure environmental programs are standardized, sustainable, and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and standardize environmental compliance programs across multiple manufacturing sites
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations including:
- Title V / MACT Air Permits
- RCRA Hazardous Waste Regulations
- Stormwater & Wastewater Programs
- DOT Hazardous Materials Requirements
- Oversee environmental permitting activities, reporting, documentation, and audit readiness
- Drive implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
- Partner with site EHS teams and leadership to reduce environmental risk and improve overall environmental performance
- Support environmental incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and emergency response preparedness
- Develop and standardize environmental training programs and best practices across locations
- Utilize environmental data and reporting metrics to identify trends and support operational improvements
- Support capital projects and new equipment implementation to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- 7 years of environmental experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Title V permits, hazardous waste programs, wastewater compliance, and ISO 14001 EMS
- Experience supporting or leading multi-site environmental programs preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Professional certifications such as CHMM, CSP, PE, or ISO 14001 Auditor certifications are a plus
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
