Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced motivated Auto Body Paint Prepper to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting by performing surface preparation, masking, sanding, and other essential tasks to ensure flawless finishes. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional results that exceed customer expectations and uphold our reputation for excellence.
Duties
- Perform surface preparation including sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Mask off areas of vehicles using surface preparation masking techniques to protect non-paint surfaces.
- Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and spray guns to sand, buff, and prepare vehicle surfaces for painting.
- Mix and apply primers, paints, and coatings using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of respiratory protection and handling automotive paints and chemicals.
- Prior dealership experience or auto body repair background required. This particular position is not entry level.
Skills
- Knowledge of automotive surface preparation, sanding, buffing, and painting techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, and spray guns used in auto refinishing.
- Strong understanding of automotive maintenance and detailing processes.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Excellent customer service skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
