Summary
This position will be responsible for performing major bodywork and priming vehicles back to factory standards. This position will wet sand and buff vehicles after the refinishing process. Contributes to the success of the team, assists others and requests help when needed. Must be knowledgeable of all essential body shop functions and maintain a safe work environment, abiding my MSDS, EPA, EPA, and OSHA rules and regulations. They will also ensure disciplined quality control, adherence to safe shop practices, proper use of tools and materials, and on-time delivery of completed vehicles.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities Include
Body Work- Panels, Glass, Jambs
- Inspect vehicle damage
- Apply mask tape over vehicle parts/windows
- Buff; Color Sand, Primer, Body filling
- Spray inner jambs, Install and adjust new body panels
- Sealers and seam sealer for new parts
- Prep for painting of automotive vehicles and parts
- Mask paint surfaces and mask vehicles to protect from surrounding areas
- Sand parts before they are ready for painting
- May have to mix paint according to company specifications
- Understands repair specifications and audits repairs for compliance with standards.
- Develop procedures to minimize rework.
- Pull dents and dings to metal parts surfaces.
- Apply metal glaze and body filler.
- Remove and replace body parts to automotive vehicles.
- Adjust body doors, hoods, trunks, and fenders to factory specs.
- Inspect, remove, protect, label, store, inventory, and reinstall exterior trim and moldings.
- Inspect, remove, protect, label, store, inventory, and reinstall interior trim and components
- Automotive/Bodyshop/Mechanic knowledge Required
- Hazmat/ Safety in body shop industry Required
- Able to notate and list details of body shop (parts knowledge) Required
- Read/Write in English Required
- Body refinishing experience Required
- Priming experience Required
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Associate’s degree Preferred
- 1 Years of Direct Experience in Body Shop Prepping
- Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions Required
