This is an on-site position at our location in Topeka, KS.
Your impact:
- Participate in the preparation of monthly balance sheets, profit & loss statements and other financial documents.
- Maintain monthly reconciliations, including but not limited to bank accounts, assets and liabilities and reports issues to be resolved.
- Journal entry creation and posting.
- Review vendor invoices for proper coding and adhering to the organization's capitalization policy.
- Support the accounting team by assisting other areas as needed.
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Ability to perform the functions of the job typically acquired with 2-5 years of experience or corresponding education.
- Ability to adapt to a variety of computer software programs to enable efficient data gathering and analysis.
- Bachelors’ degree in accounting preferred.
- Experience with managing time with simultaneous tasks and projects.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Expertise in handling confidential and sensitive employee, customer, and company information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, high proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Inquisitive mindset focused on learning.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
