SERVER ASSISTANT
The Assistant Server collaborates with their team members to assist in filling and refilling water glasses, clearing dishes and silverware, and resetting tables, guiding guests to their tables as needed, and fulfilling all other duties as assigned.
Assistant Server Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned
● Ensure tables are set appropriately with cutlery, glassware, napkins and decorations.
● Deliver beverages and food orders to the appropriate table and serve according to service standards. Check to make sure that guests have everything they need before leaving the table.
● Remove dirty dishes, silverware and unused glassware from tables during service and after guests have left.
● Properly set and reset tables and side work areas in the dining room and kitchen.
● Answer telephone in a courteous and friendly manner including, but not limited to, giving store greetings, directions to store location and receiving and filling guest orders.
● Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, make eye contact, and use a friendly verbal greeting. Continually ensures guest satisfaction with their meals.
● Communicate with host staff regarding the progression of tables during and/or after service (e.g. communicating when a table is reset).
● Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established policies and procedures; complying with sanitation and federal, state, and local legal regulations.
● Maintains or exceeds standards of personal appearance, grooming, cleanliness, and hygiene. This includes wearing proper uniform at all times while working.
● Any additional duties as assigned by the Service manager or supervisor.

Assistant Server Qualifications and Skills:
The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
● Regularly stand and walk for eight to ten hours; climb sets of stairs repetitively throughout shift; occasionally required to sit, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.
● Consistently reach shoulder level, above head, below waist; push, pull, lift and carry twenty-five (25) pounds including up flights of stairs, occasionally lift excess of fifty (50) pounds.
● Must be able to work in environmental exposure to low or high volume noise, cold, heat, water, and cleaning materials.
● Passible understanding of English Language, writing skills and basic mathematics.
● Preferred have alcohol safety training; ASK or ServSafe Alcohol, required to acquire with company sponsorship and recertify annually.
