Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgical Tech to join our outpatient surgery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical procedures and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and efficient operating room environment. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the success of various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile environments for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical staff by providing the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment during operations.
- Perform thorough instrument counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly to requests during procedures.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in the operating room and surrounding areas.
- Assist with patient positioning and draping as needed.
- Document and report any issues or concerns related to surgical instruments or equipment.
- Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech in an outpatient or surgical setting.
- In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or surgical technology program preferred.
This position pays a competitive rate of $41.10-63.00 per hour depending on the level of experience. We have a generous PTO schedule, and our staff enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule.
