Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the recovery of patients following surgical procedures. Your expertise in assessing patient conditions, monitoring vital signs, and providing post-operative care will directly contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients’ post-surgery and assess their condition, including vital signs, consciousness, and pain levels.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding post-surgical care and recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in CA or the ability to obtain one
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BLS, PALS and ACLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing care principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Compensation and Benefits:
This position pays a competitive rate of $59.00-80.00 per hour depending on the level of experience. We offer a full suite of benefits including 401k with company match, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as voluntary Aflac plans. We have a generous PTO schedule and our staff enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule with paid holidays.
