What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASST. MANAGER INSTRUMENT ROOM position at Montefiore Medical Center?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
- The Instrument Room Assistant Manager has 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the activities of Instrument Room Attendants engaged in preparation of sterile instruments.
- The Instrument Room Assistant Manager participates in the budgetary process, tracks and reports instrument expenditures.
- Establishes and implements auditing and management strategies to assure that instruments are available and in working condition.
- Maintains sterile processing records according to AORN an AAMl standards.
SCHEDULE:3 PM-11:30 PM, Mon-Fri.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- CRCST certification required.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects (less than I00 pounds).
