Schedule / Hours : Monday-Friday, 7AM-3 : 30PM
Department : Operating Room
Responsibilities
The Manager of Instrument Room will be responsible for :
Overseeing the daily operations of the Instrument Room, ensuring the preparation of sterile instruments
Establishing and implementing auditing and management strategies to maintain instrument availability and functionality
Monitoring and reporting instrument expenditures while participating in the budgetary process
Ensuring sterile processing records are maintained in compliance with AORN and AAMI standards
Providing leadership and direction to Instrument Room Attendants
Qualifications
5 years of experience in Sterile Processing or a related field
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
CRCST certification required
Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols and compliance standards
Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Desired Skills
Experience in instrument tracking and auditing systems
Knowledge of budget management and inventory control
