Overview
The Pharmacy Manager, Purchasing and Inventory is responsible for the management and procurement of pharmaceuticals and supplies for the ambulatory clinics and main pharmacy at the Montefiore Hutchinson Metro Center.
Responsibilities
- The individual requires knowledge of medications and supplies needed to operate a pharmacy and must have knowledge of materials management software programs and automated dispensing cabinet technology.
- Additional responsibilities include appropriate utilization of storeroom and distribution associates to achieve desired results, problem-solving, continuous evaluation of purchasing and inventory systems.
- Continuing cost management and service improvement will be a focus of the position.
- Will assist the Director in time and attendance and scheduling maintenance for the department.
- In addition, will be involved with interviewing, hiring, orientation, discipline, and performance evaluations of pharmacy associates.
- All of the medication purchasing decisions are made under the supervision of a NYS licensed pharmacist.
- Associate degree is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- PTCB certification and NYS Pharmacy Tech license is required.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
Salary : $71,200 - $89,000
