Montefiore Medical Center's Division of Clinical Pathology is responsible for the laboratory testing of blood, urine, and body fluids for disease diagnosis and health maintenance. Utilizing the latest advances in computer technology, the Division maintains millions of dollars of state-of-the-art automated equipment at its laboratory sites and services hospitals, nursing homes, the Montefiore Medical Group, faculty practices, and voluntary physicians' offices at more than 40 sites.
The Motor Vehicle Operator will be responsible for the pick-up and delivery of Pathology specimens from various outreach clients. Deliver medical supplies to various sites within the Pathology client network. Responsibilities
The hours are Tuesdays - Fridays 11:30 am - 8:00pm and Saturdays 7:00am - 3:30pm with alternate weekends.

The Motor Vehicle Operator will be responsible for the pick-up and delivery of Pathology specimens from various outreach clients. Deliver medical supplies to various sites within the Pathology client network. Responsibilities
- Picks up specimens from off-site client locations and delivers to Pathology lab - 80%.
- Lab supplies and report delivery - 10%.
- Participate in training of new associates - 5%.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership - 5%.
- Critically assess road/traffic conditions in order to complete assigned courier duties.
- Prioritize STAT verse routine specimen pick-up requests.
- Know when to solicit guidance from supervisor.
- High School Diploma/GED, Associate degree preferred.
- 2 years' work experience required.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, be aware of and adhere to all traffic laws.
- Able to use mobile phone with bar code technology.
- Use of hospital issued motor vehicles, mobile devices, route sheets, route logs, hazardous spill training, and specimen reconciliation forms are required.
- Proficiency in driving a vehicle with clean driver's license for 24 months is required.
- Operating a motor vehicle, awareness of and adhering to all traffic laws, able to use mobile phone with bar code technology are required.
