MSRC is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Power BI Specialist to join a diverse team and support data analysis, visualization, and reporting needs within the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC). The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models to aid in strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to AvMC requirements.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with team members, leads, and stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
- Create data models and perform data analysis to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Create reports (primarily using PowerPoint) to convey analysis to senior leaders.
- Monitor report performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy standards in all reporting activities.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or related field.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Power BI Specialist.
- Proven experience with Power BI development and report creation.
- Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, DAX functions, Power Query, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Army data systems and security requirements is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Azure Data Services, SharePoint, or other BI tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, active clearance preferred.
