As a member of the ASC Leadership Team, the Program Outreach Coordinator will be the point of communication and organization between the ASC and specialized programs (i.e. Dual Enrollment). This role will participate in student support activities such as mentoring identified students to support university retention efforts, providing academic support, and connecting students to other services.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide outreach and coordinate activities related to specialized programs including availability of resources such as tutoring services, peer mentoring, and other support for students and instructors. Communicate with other programs as a representative of the ASC Leadership Team to provide updates and changesCollect and analyze data to improve effectiveness and how the ASC works with specialized programs (i.e. Dual Enrollment) effectiveness utilizing EAB Navigate 360, Canvas, and other data sources as applicableSupervising and providing a high-quality tutoring program, including online tutoring to ASC related programsCollaborate with faculty at UC and CC locations to ensure tutorial methods and access points support classroom procedures for students enrolled in special programsWorking with other ASC Leadership and program specialists to develop and implement workshops, programs, and materials to address students’ academic support needs, such as content area handouts, web pages and online tutorialsAssist the Retention Director in responding to notices provided by EAB Navigate, the University’s Early Alert System. Utilize tutors or otherwise connect with at-risk students identified through Navigate to deliver tutoring and/or referral services. Report results of contact to faculty, Advising, and document interaction for the ASCRaising awareness of the ASC by visiting classrooms, scheduling and conducting tours, presenting information at New Student Orientations and Registrations, supplying other university offices with information, attending meetings with other departments and university offices to represent the Academic Support Center and coordinating efforts to benefit studentsPresent information about the Academic Support Center to groups of SSS/TRIO, Veterans Upward Bound, Upward Bound, and other student services offices’ students and potential studentsServing as a tutor and mentor in the ASC providing support for students.
