    Position Summary:


    The Learning Bank is seeking a dedicated and engaging Adult Education Math Instructor to provide high-quality instruction to adult learners working to improve their math skills. This part-time position focuses on daytime instruction and offers a flexible schedule coordinated with the Learning Bank Director.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver effective math instruction to adult learners at various skill levels, including those preparing for High School Equivalency (HSE) exams.
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with adult education standards.
    • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs.
    • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and instructional activities.
    • Collaborate with staff and the Learning Bank Director to support student success and program goals.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in education, mathematics, or related field preferred.
    • Experience teaching or tutoring adult learners or non-traditional students is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of foundational math concepts, including numeracy, algebra, and problem-solving strategies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to differentiate instruction and support a variety of learning styles.
    • Familiarity with adult education or HSE preparation programs (GED®, HiSET®) a plus.

    Schedule & Compensation:

    • This is a part-time, daytime position, with up to 10 hours per week, scheduled in collaboration with the Learning Bank Director.
    • Compensation is $27.05 per hour.
