- Deliver effective math instruction to adult learners at various skill levels, including those preparing for High School Equivalency (HSE) exams.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with adult education standards.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and instructional activities.
- Collaborate with staff and the Learning Bank Director to support student success and program goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in education, mathematics, or related field preferred.
- Experience teaching or tutoring adult learners or non-traditional students is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of foundational math concepts, including numeracy, algebra, and problem-solving strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support a variety of learning styles.
- Familiarity with adult education or HSE preparation programs (GED®, HiSET®) a plus.
- This is a part-time, daytime position, with up to 10 hours per week, scheduled in collaboration with the Learning Bank Director.
- Compensation is $27.05 per hour.
