What are the responsibilities and job description for the JVB/Freshman Boys Soccer Coach position at Monroe Public Schools?
- Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the Boys JVB/Freshman Soccer program
- Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and skill development activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture
- Monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility
- Ensure compliance with all MHSAA, district, and school policies
- Maintain appropriate supervision of student-athletes at all times
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, administration, and staff
- Coordinate with lower-level coaches to ensure program alignment and development
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
- Manage equipment, uniforms, and inventory
- Promote the program within the school and community
- Previous coaching experience preferred, particularly at the high school level
- Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, rules, and coaching techniques
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to student development and sportsmanship
- Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Completion of all required MHSAA coaching requirements
- Fingerprinting and background check (ICHAT or full fingerprinting, as applicable)
- Concussion awareness training
- Any additional district-required compliance training
- Stipend per the Monroe Public Schools coaching pay schedule

Position Summary
Monroe Public Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated JVB/Freshman Soccer Coach for Monroe High School. The successful candidate will provide leadership, organization, and instruction for the high school boys soccer program while promoting academic success, sportsmanship, and positive character development in student-athletes.
