- Provide instruction to high school students preparing for careers in Automated Manufacturing and Machining.
- Oversee all activities that provide high school students with a hands-on, practical experience in automated manufacturing and machining.
- Implement curriculum according to industry and New York State school standards.
- Arrange for speakers, field trips, and work experience opportunities for students.
- Work in a team environment that fosters the philosophy of collaborative planning.
- Communicate with school staff, parents, districts, and community agencies.
- Candidate must be willing to obtain NYS CTE Teacher Certification: Machine Tool Operation/Machine Shop 7-12.
- Associate's degree - Machine Tool Operation/Machine Shop and 2 years of experience working in a machine tool operation/machine shop.Or
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a machine tool operation/machine shop.
- Commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development.
- Enthusiasm towards working with students and their families to help the students succeed.
