What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Summer School Social Studies Teacher (Grades 9-12) - 2026 position at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES?
- Plan and teach lessons daily that incorporate student electronic devices.
- Prepare students for state assessments; teach to NYS Learning Standards.
- Create and administer local examination for courses without a state exam. Local exams must mirror NYS exam format for content area.
- Proctor and rate Regents examinations as needed.
- Bring own non-consumable materials such as books from home school, stapler, ruler, non-consumable desk supplies. BOCES 2 will provide consumable paper, and dry erase supplies.
- Assess student performance and assign numerical grade.
- Classroom management, including home contact.
- Ensure IEP met for students with disabilities, particularly regarding test accommodations and reasonable classroom modifications (collaborate with on-site teacher consultant).
- Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Regional Summer School site principal.
