Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using clinic management software, ensuring optimal patient flow.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR systems), using Eaglesoft and Digital Intelligence(DI), maintaining accurate documentation review and updates.
- Collect payments and perform medical collections while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality.
- Coordinate with clinical staff regarding treatment plans, referrals and documentation review to support billing accuracy.
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries promptly.
- Maintain organized medical records, file documents securely, and perform clerical tasks such as data entry with high accuracy using Microsoft Office tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental or medical front desk setting with clinic experience preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure compliance at all times.
- Strong organizational skills with clerical experience in filing, data entry, and health information management.
