Position Overview
As a Dental Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator, you will support the clinical team by assisting with patient care and treatment procedures while also helping ensure smooth day-to-day front office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop skills in both clinical and administrative areas of dentistry.
Office Hours
- Monday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Clinical Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures
- Provide chairside assistance during dental treatments
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Experience with fabricating temporary crowns as directed by the dentist
- Experience with intraoral scanning procedures and digital impressions
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Assist with treatment presentations and patient education
- Monitor and maintain dental supply inventory
Front Desk Responsibilities
- Greet and check patients in and out
- Answer phones and assist patients with scheduling needs
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
- Assist with patient communications and follow-up
- Support administrative and office operations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental Assistant experience is a MUST(minimum one year two years PREFERRED)
- Front desk or dental administrative experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Experience with EagleSoft preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
