What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server position at Monkey Cat?
- Greet customers sitting at the bar, give them menus, and inform them about daily food and drink specials.
- Be knowledgeable about beer and wine.
- Interact with customers professionally and kindly.
- Be able to make food, beer, wine and cocktail menu suggestions.
- Take drink and food orders from customers and enter into the POS system.
- Pour wine, serve draft and bottled beer.
- Supply Servers their alcoholic drink, wine and beer orders
- Check identification of customers, to ensure that they are of legal drinking age.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, washing glasses and equipment.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Operate cash registers, collect payments from customers, and return change.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Must have bartending experience in a fast-paced high volume bar with a full cocktail list
- Must be able to work weekends and public holidays.
- Must have food handlers and RBS certificate or obtain within 30 days of hire.
