What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations / Middle Office - Hedge Fund - $300k+ TC position at Mondrian Alpha?
A high performing, industry recognised hedge fund are looking to make a newly created middle office hire.
Due to business expansion and increasing trade volumes, the Global Head of Operations (NYC based) is looking to hire a middle office manager specific to the firm’s US multi strategy business. He/she will have oversight for outsourced middle and back office processes, such as settlements & reconciliations, managing what is produced externally, analysing what comes into the firm and dealing with issues / breaks both with the external service providers and with investment desks that the hire will face off to. In time, the expectation is that some processes can be brought in house and automated - the hire will project manage such initiatives. Whilst the role is stand-alone, we expect that the hire could be managing 1-2 people within 12-18 months.
Candidates should have roughly 4-8yrs experience in IB / Hedge Fund operations, having worked hands-on settlements and recs processes in detail. Strong academics and tech skills are required.
The role will pay a strong performer a $300k TC - depending on individual and fund performance it can be significantly higher. A guaranteed minimum bonus, sign-on and exceptional benefits will also be offered.
