The Role
You’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and robustness of pricing across a broad range of equity derivative instruments. The position combines model oversight, valuation control, and real-time analysis of trading performance.
Working closely with investment teams, you’ll help bring transparency to portfolio behaviour, contribute to the onboarding of new instruments, and act as a central point of contact for pricing and valuation queries.
Key Responsibilities
Valuation & Model Oversight
- Maintain and refine pricing frameworks for equity-linked products, ensuring models are appropriately calibrated and supported by reliable market data.
Pricing Control & Governance
- Oversee daily pricing processes, both intraday and end-of-day, implementing controls and enhancements where needed. Take ownership of official marks and pricing outputs used across the business.
Performance & Risk Analysis
- Analyse portfolio performance with a focus on derivatives, breaking down P&L into key drivers such as market movements, sensitivities, trading activity, and event-driven impacts. Deliver clear, insightful reporting to senior stakeholders.
Front Office Partnership
- Act as a trusted contact for portfolio managers, helping resolve issues across pricing, risk, product setup, and systems. Coordinate with technology and operations teams to drive solutions efficiently.
Your Background
- 2-4 years’ experience in a trading environment, Quant/Pricing, risk, product control, complex valuation
- Strong understanding of equity derivatives (e.g. options, swaps, structured/exotic products) is highly advantageous
- Comfortable working with data and systems; programming experience (Python, VBA or similar) is beneficial
- Familiarity with market data platforms such as Bloomberg or Reuters
- Proven ability to work closely with both technical teams and front office stakeholders
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
- Able to operate with urgency and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
