Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Manager of Product Management to lead the roadmap, development, and delivery of a B2B hardware product with an integrated software stack. This role requires someone who understands the full lifecycle of physical products, is deeply customer-focused, and thrives partnering with sales, engineering, and executive teams.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on product management experience with paying enterprise customers and is ready to step into—or grow into—people management. You will begin as an individual contributor while progressively taking on leadership responsibilities as the product and team scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, roadmap planning, and execution for a B2B physical hardware product with a supporting software platform.
- Act as the primary bridge between product, sales, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure alignment on feature needs, value propositions, and go-to-market priorities.
- Engage directly with paying enterprise customers to gather feedback, validate concepts, assess competitive landscape, and define product requirements.
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle decisions—from concept to launch to iteration—balancing customer needs with business goals.
- Partner closely with sales teams to support commercial efforts, including product demos, value articulation, and competitive positioning.
- Develop product documentation, business cases, and data-driven recommendations for leadership.
- Begin as an individual contributor with the expectation to grow into managing a small team of product managers as the organization expands.
- Contribute to establishing product processes, cross-functional rituals, and best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience working on B2B physical hardware products with an attached software ecosystem (firmware, cloud, analytics, UI, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams, supporting commercial strategy and customer engagement.
- Proven experience working directly with paying enterprise customers, gathering insights, and shaping competitive product decisions.
- People management experience or very recent transition into managing others (or clear readiness to step into leadership).
- Strong communication, cross-functional alignment, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Desire to grow into people management or previous experience leading small teams.
- Background in logistics, supply chain technology, or machine vision solutions.
- Experience in competitive B2B product categories or hardware/software hybrid industries.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO
