About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Media Strategy to elevate our media practice and lead cross-channel strategy for enterprise-level clients. This is a high-ownership, entrepreneurial role within a flat, fast-moving organization—perfect for someone who thrives without red tape, brings a strong strategic voice, and can deliver measurable business growth.
This is a new role created to advance our media strategy discipline and support our rapidly growing client base.
Day to Day
- Lead the development of highly customized omnichannel media strategies aligned with client business goals.
- Act as a trusted, calm, and strategic voice for clients—providing guidance, reasoning, and expertise.
- Solve challenges around scale, efficiency, and full-funnel performance, from upper-funnel awareness to lower-funnel conversion.
- Partner cross-functionally with Data Science, Analytics, Creative, Paid Social, Paid Search, and Digital Investment/Programmatic teams.
- Drive measurable growth using deeper metrics beyond impressions—optimizing against nuanced KPIs around leads, sales, and incremental performance.
- Blend strategic leadership with hands-on media planning and optimization.
- Manage and mentor a team of ~2 Media Strategists; provide training, development, and quality oversight.
- Own strategy for 1 major enterprise client, plus 1–2 additional clients as needed.
- Communicate complex performance insights and media recommendations to senior client stakeholders, including CMOs and executive leaders.
- Help scale and mature the media strategy practice as the organization continues to grow.

Requirements
Must-Haves
- 7–10 years in digital/performance marketing, with agency experience required.
- Experience managing end-to-end strategy for enterprise clients with $20M annual budgets.
- Strong background in performance media: search, programmatic, paid social, and full-funnel planning.
- Ability to optimize against complex KPIs—not just surface-level media metrics.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members.
- Deep comfort operating in a nimble, entrepreneurial culture with high ownership.
- Demonstrated ability to translate client business goals (sales, leads, revenue) into actionable media strategies.
- Experience working closely with analytics and data science teams.
- Strong executive communication skills—comfortable presenting to CMOs and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in omnichannel planning, including digital traditional/TV.
