We're seeking an experienced Associate Director, Media Strategy to join our media team in developing and executing data-driven, multi-channel campaigns that deliver measurable results. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership—you'll help guide media planning from concept to execution, leverage advanced analytics tools to optimize performance, and identify growth opportunities for our clients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction and strategy for the media team, manage client expectations and deliverables and oversee the development and execution of all media efforts to ensure they are on strategy, on budget and on schedule
- Identify, understand and adopt new techniques and emerging technologies as relevant to clients’ digital media strategies
- In-depth knowledge of Social Ad Platforms
- Provides regular feedback and suggests alternative approaches as necessary to ensure that organizational objectives and superior standards are achieved.
- Identify and grow business opportunities within current and new clients, lead the creation and negotiation of client contracts and proposals and manage account profitability
- Participate and lead in the development of specific program components such as presentations, media plans, media agreements, RFPs, client reporting, optimization strategies, etc.
- Proactively anticipates and prevents problems
- Understanding of agency-style business operations and how to leverage performance tactics to ensure long-term customer success
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Strategic Media Planning
- Develop comprehensive media strategies aligned with business objectives, leveraging data-driven insights and advanced analytics tools
- Develop multi-channel media plans that maximize reach, engagement, and conversion across digital and traditional platforms
Platform Expertise
- Utilize platforms like GWI, Nielsen, Comscore, and others to gather audience insights and inform strategic decisions
Performance-Driven Campaigns
- Focus on driving results by optimizing media strategies and campaigns to meet or exceed KPIs
- Use advanced analytics to track and measure campaign performance, making real-time adjustments to improve ROI and ensure that media efforts are delivering maximum impact
Communications Planning
- Develop a communications planning framework to ensure consistent messaging across all media channels
- Work closely with creative and content teams to ensure that media strategies are aligned with campaign messaging
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of media professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Ensure the team is proficient in the use of advanced media planning tools and stays updated on the latest industry trends and best practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with analytics and research teams to leverage consumer insights and ensure that media plans are informed by the latest data and research
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with media agencies and applicable vendors
Innovation
- Stay updated on industry trends and identify new opportunities for media optimization
- Identify and implement new tools and platforms that can enhance media planning and execution, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness
Budget Management
- Oversee the media budget and provide detailed performance reports
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7-10 years of experience in media strategy, planning, or a related role
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful data-driven media campaigns
- Deep understanding of media channels, consumer behavior, and market trends
- Proficiency in using advanced media planning tools (GWI, Nielsen, Comscore)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership experience and ability to foster a high-performance culture
Working hours for this role are 9am-6pm Eastern Standard Hours.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
