Duties

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and scope of work.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop precise budgets and proposals.
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and cost control assessments to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
• Collaborate with project management teams to review contracts, scope changes, and project schedules for accurate estimations.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in risk assessment and value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.
• Support project teams during the bidding process by providing detailed estimates, bid summaries, and supporting documentation.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects.
• Strong proficiency with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup.
• Skilled in negotiation to achieve the best pricing and contractual terms with vendors and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software for accurate cost modeling.
• Solid understanding of construction site operations, management practices, and contract administration.
• Expertise in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management principles.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents effectively. Pay: $58,365.13 - $70,289.18 per year
