What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. High Head Baseball Coach position at Momence Community Unit School District #1?
Position: This position is for a head baseball coach for 6th, 7th, and 8th boys.
Expectations: The head baseball coach will help athletes improve and develop their skills related to baseball. As the head coach, your responsibilities include making sure athletes are training and practicing safely, preventing injuries and following all relevant IESA policies related to baseball. You will also develop game plans and strategies that help the students improve and provide them with the greatest chance of success. In addition the head coach will be in charge of all equipment, uniforms, and field prep for home games, as well as managing the budget that is given to the baseball team in coordination with the atletic director.
Goal: Our number one goal for our coaches is to encourage athletes, build character, and to represent our school in a positive way. Winning is great, but we are focused on developing our athletes so they will posess the skills necessary to suceed in life both on the field and off it.
The position will be paid on Level D of the extra duty scale in the MEA teacher contract and the salary will range between $1884 - $3140 based on experience.
