What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. High Assistant Soccer Coach position at Momence Community Unit School District #1?
Position: This position is for a assistant soccer coach for 6th, 7th, and 8th boys and girls.
Expectations: The assistant soccer coach will help athletes improve and develop their skills related to soccer. As the assistant coach, your responsibilities include helping the head coach make sure athletes are training and practicing safely, preventing injuries and following all relevant IESA policies related to soccer. You will also assist in develop game plans and strategies that help the students improve and provide them with the greatest chance of success. In addition the assistant coach will help keep track of all equipment, uniforms, and assist in field prep for home games.
Goal: Our number one goal for our coaches is to encourage athletes, build character, and to represent our school in a positive way. Winning is great, but we are focused on developing our athletes so they will posess the skills necessary to suceed in life both on the field and off it.
The position will be paid on Level F of the extra duty scale in the MEA teacher contract and the salary will range between $837 - $1361 based on experience.
