Position Summary:
Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of the bar staff and wait staff. Provides exceptional customer service; setting the example for all Food & Beverage Staff. At all times ensures that our guests experience a professional and courteous experience. Responsible for ensuring operational standards and guest services are in accordance with SGEC Policy and Procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service; setting the example for all Food & Beverage Staff.
- Ensure smooth and efficient service throughout all assigned venues in the property.
- Supervise employees in the bar and front of the house staff in the restaurant.
- Assist in scheduling, requisitions and allocating staff to ensure appropriate levels of coverage.
- Assist, when necessary, in providing service to customers to ensure the quality of customer service is maintained at all times for our guests.
- Assist in training and development of the staff, coaching, counseling and mentoring.
- Responsible for accurate beverage controls.
- Assist with the monthly inventory as necessary.
- Abides by all State, Federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Continually train staff in policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Ensure Food & Beverage department staff adheres to Casino’s cash handling policies and procedures.
- Ensure the budget for the department is monitored and adhered to by implementing effective processes and procedures.
- Must be able to perform all duties as a bartender and waitstaff when needed.
- All other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director.
Uniform:
- Casino issued work shirt.
- Black dress pants/slacks. Pockets must be sewn shut.
- Comfortable no slip shoes.
- Hair must be clean and pulled back.
- Sokaogon Gaming Commission (SGC) issued Gaming License/ID Badge.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.
- Must be knowledgeable of IHS, Wisconsin Health Code, Wisconsin Alcohol, and FDA regulations concerning food service, bar, and cleanliness standards.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two forms of ID, one of which must be a photo ID.
- Must submit to and pass a drug and alcohol test per Sokaogon Gaming Enterprise Corporation (SGEC) Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Must pass a Background Investigation.
- Successfully complete a 60-day probationary period.
- Physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
- Ability to correctly lift and transport objects weighting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outside of normal scheduled hours and shifts.
- Must be able to obtain a bartender’s license.
- Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to interact well with the public and co-workers.
- Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638.
