Milwaukee, WI| $130,000–$155,000 base 12% bonus(can go higher for the right experience)

The Role
We’re partnering with a boutique fiduciary firm in Milwaukee that’s growing its estate and trust settlement practice. They need a Senior Trust Officer who can own complex administrations end-to-end—calm execution, sharp document interpretation, and strong judgment—while serving as the steady point person for beneficiaries, attorneys, and internal trust operations.
This is for someone who’s not just “maintaining accounts,” but can drive settlement timelines, keep everything compliant, and handle sensitive family dynamics with professionalism.
What You’ll Own
- Lead the relationship and administration for a portfolio of trust accounts and estate settlement matters
- Run end-to-end trust administration (account opening, maintenance, and closing) with accuracy and clean documentation
- Manage estate and trust settlement workflows, including probate coordination and beneficiary communication
- Interpret trust documents and apply fiduciary principles correctly to decisions, distributions, and administration actions
- Own annual account reviews, including fee processing, distribution activity, and administration planning
- Partner with trust accounting/ops to ensure reconciliations, reporting accuracy, and audit-ready files
- Handle audits, reconciliations, and regulatory inquiries with strong controls and responsiveness
- Apply working knowledge of estate-related tax considerations as they impact settlement and administration
- Identify risk early, prevent problems, and manage sensitive situations with discretion and confidence
What They Want to See
- 7 years of trust administration experience
- Strong experience with estate and trust settlement processes
- Working knowledge of fiduciary principles and trust operations (must-have)
- Experience administering accounts end-to-end (opening, maintenance, closing)
- Experience with annual account reviews, fee processing, and distributions
- Ability to interpret trust documents and apply them accurately
- Experience handling audits, reconciliations, and regulatory inquiries
- Familiarity with probate processes and estate workflows
- Working knowledge of estate-related tax considerations
- Proficiency in trust accounting and administration systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- CTFA preferred
