Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineering Manager to lead electrical design and engineering efforts within a fast-paced design-build environment. This individual will oversee complex commercial and infrastructure projects from concept through completion while mentoring engineering teams and serving as a technical leader across multiple projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems design, team leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience supporting large-scale commercial, infrastructure, and mission-critical projects. Candidates should be comfortable operating in highly collaborative environments while balancing technical execution, project coordination, and mentorship responsibilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Engineering & Design Leadership- Develop project requirements and prepare engineering design fees for requested work
- Lead electrical engineering projects from conceptual design through construction completion
- Perform value engineering studies and serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects
- Resolve complex electrical design challenges, coordination conflicts, and technical issues
- Ensure compliance with NEC requirements and applicable state and local building codes
- Create and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources
- Communicate with Project Managers and executive leadership regarding schedules, deliverables, staffing, and resource needs
- Coordinate with city, state, county, and regulatory agencies throughout project execution
- Attend project meetings, design-build coordination meetings, and job site visits as needed
- Manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects within fast-paced project environments
- Lead and mentor Engineers, Designers, and Modeling staff assigned to projects
- Support the development and training of junior engineering team members
- Provide technical oversight and guidance across electrical design and construction workflows
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional design-build and construction teams
- Oversee electrical system studies including:
- Short Circuit Studies
- Arc Flash Studies
- Voltage Drop Analysis
- Electrical Coordination Studies
- Design and review:
- Load calculations
- Equipment layouts
- HV/MV distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- Grounding systems
- Utility coordination activities
Strong preference for candidates with experience supporting large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects such as:
- Airports
- Stadiums
- Hospitals
- Large Commercial Developments
- Mission-Critical Facilities
Modular construction experience is considered a strong plus but is not required.
QualificationsRequired Experience- 8–10 years of electrical engineering experience within design-build or electrical construction environments
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience mentoring or managing engineering/design teams of approximately 5–8 individuals
- Experience leading projects from concept through completion
- Strong understanding of electrical construction processes and field coordination
- Hands-on experience applying the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable building codes
- Proficiency with Revit required
- Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
- SKM Power Tools experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical load calculations
- Equipment layouts
- HV/MV distribution
- Lighting design
- Grounding systems
- Utility coordination
- Base Salary: Approximately $180K–$210K Bonus
- ESOP ownership program valued at approximately 18% of base salary annually
