Compensation: $30/HR Overtime Available
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | OTR Routes
Location: Newark, NJ

Position Overview

A growing transportation and distribution organization is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver to support expanding delivery operations across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. This role involves operating refrigerated trailers and straight trucks while completing over-the-road (OTR) routes and ensuring timely, safe deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to manage long-distance routes while adapting to changing traffic and weather conditions.

This is a full-time direct hire opportunity offering overtime potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Travel Requirements

Drivers will complete OTR routes throughout:

• Virginia
• Vermont
• Maine
• New Hampshire
• Massachusetts
• Rhode Island
• Connecticut

Equipment Operated

Drivers will operate:

• 2021 Automatic Transmission Day Cab Tractors
• 36’, 38’, and 48’ Refrigerated Trailers with Liftgate
• 24–26 Foot Straight Trucks

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A commercial vehicles on assigned OTR delivery routes
• Transport refrigerated freight while maintaining delivery schedules and safety standards
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery and DOT documentation
• Follow all DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and transportation guidelines
• Adapt to traffic, weather, and route changes while ensuring safe and efficient transportation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and transportation management teams
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of assigned equipment

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License — Required
• H Endorsement — Required
• Minimum 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience
• Minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience operating:
  
  • 24–26 Foot Straight Trucks
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
• Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
• Ability to pass:
  
  • DOT Road Test
  • Drug Screening
  • Criminal Background Check
• Ability to drive long hours and complete regular OTR travel assignments
• Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills in changing road and weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Refrigerated trailer experience preferred
• Experience operating liftgate-equipped trailers preferred
• Strong safety mindset and reliability in long-haul transportation environments
