HVAC Service Manager
Springfield, MA | $85K–$90K base benefits
We’re partnered with a well-established HVAC company in Worcester that’s investing in stronger service leadership. They’re hiring an HVAC Service Manager who can run the operation with structure, coach the team, protect the customer experience, and drive performance across the field and the office.
This is a strong fit for someone currently leading service (or a senior lead ready to step up) who wants real ownership, the authority to improve processes, and the support to execute.
What you’ll own- Lead the service department across technicians, dispatch, and service administration
- Coach performance, set expectations, and deliver ongoing feedback
- Run regular team meetings to keep standards clear and execution consistent
- Do ride-alongs and job site visits to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
- Manage annual reviews and support development plans
- Handle customer escalations quickly and professionally
- Enforce safety standards, PPE, and proper incident reporting
- Partner closely with dispatch to optimize scheduling and capacity
- Ensure tools and vehicles are maintained and ready to perform
- Recommend process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Step in hands-on during peak demand when needed
- Serve as a go-to technical resource for the team
- Report to the Operations Manager
- Strong HVAC technical background with service leadership experience
- Proven people management skills (accountability motivation coaching)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- MA/CT/RI Oil Burner, Pipefitter, or Plumbing License preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving ability
- Customer-first mindset and calm under pressure
- Comfortable with computers and operating in a fast-paced environment
