Fabricator Welder
Henrietta, NY | In-Person | $25 - $28 /hr | Full-Time
A well established and growing structural steel fabricator with a team that cares about their people is hiring an experienced Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator. This is a true fabrication role, not a welding-only job. You will take a print and carry it from layout to a finished, accurate railing with limited supervision. Day shift, approximately 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with overtime available but never mandatory.
What You'll Do:
- Fabricate railings, stairs, miscellaneous metals, and structural steel components
- Read fabrication prints and lay out material to the drawings
- Perform fit-up, assembly, and welding of fabricated components
- Bend pipe for railing fabrication and support sheet-bending operations
- Cut, drill, grind, and torch steel
- Inspect finished work for dimensional accuracy and adjust to match the print
- Handle and move steel using cranes and material-handling equipment
- Cross-train on additional equipment and help other areas of the shop as needed
What You Bring:
- Hands-on fabrication experience with railings, stairs, miscellaneous steel, or comparable products
- Ability to read fabrication prints and drawings
- Strong tape measure and dimensional skills
- Experience with layout and fit-up
- Comfortable with material handling and general shop work in addition to welding
- Pipe bending, sheet-metal bending, or CNC and plasma-table experience is a plus
- No need to know our exact equipment if your fabrication skills transfer
