Breast Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)
Location: Boca Raton
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation:$83,000 – $94,000 (DOE) Bonus Potential
A leading outpatient imaging provider is seeking an experienced Breast Ultrasound Technologist to support high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role focuses on performing breast ultrasound exams, assisting with procedures, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable working in a high-volume breast imaging setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic breast ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Capture high-quality images of breast tissue, lesions, and abnormalities for radiologist interpretation
- Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided breast procedures, including biopsies when applicable
- Prepare and position patients while clearly explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness prior to submission
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records within imaging systems (RIS/PACS)
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, mammography technologists, and clinical staff
- Ensure proper operation, care, and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- ARDMS certification (RDMS – Breast preferred) required
- RVT certification is a plus
- 2 years of breast ultrasound experience required (5 years preferred)
- Experience with high-volume breast imaging and oncology cases preferred
- Experience assisting with ultrasound-guided biopsies strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Competitive base salary: $83,000 – $94,000 (DOE)
