This role partners closely with the broader sales and marketing teams to identify prospects, qualify leads, and deliver impactful demonstrations that result in new business and long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Conduct engaging webinars and product demonstrations for prospective and current customers.
- Manage customer engagement throughout the full sales cycle, including final negotiations before purchase.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities by researching potential customers and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute outbound sales and email campaigns.
- Apply a consultative sales approach to uncover customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Maintain accurate account and opportunity data within Salesforce and other sales systems.
- Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders on account status.
- Make a minimum of 25 outbound calls and 25 emails daily to drive pipeline growth.
- Develop and manage assigned customer relationships in alignment with company policies and ethical standards.
- Serve as a trusted resource to customers, responding quickly to needs and providing valuable market insights to internal teams.
- Perform other responsibilities as required.
We’re looking for candidates with the following background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field OR 3 years of business-to-business sales experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Background in teaching, school administration, SaaS, PaaS, or software sales highly preferred.
- Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and landing new business (SaaS experience strongly preferred).
- Experience selling into the K–12 education market is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques including lead generation (cold calling), account management, and consultative selling.
- Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting via phone, video, and webinar platforms.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to customer success.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); Salesforce experience preferred. NetSuite experience helpful but not required.
