Summary
The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) at Moffitt Cancer Center provides support for the acquisition, management, and administration of externally funded projects and programs. We are currently seeking a Sponsored Research Administrator III position.
Position Highlights:
- Oversees pre-award activities and non-financial post-award processes.
- Conducts independent review and submission of proposals to funding agencies.
- Acts as the institutional liaison with sponsor representatives, collaborating closely to initiate and monitor awards, including ensuring compliance.
- Coordinates with investigators, grant administrators, and relevant offices to facilitate research project support.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with S2S systems and electronic grant management platforms such as grants.gov, ASSIST, eRA Commons.
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and private sponsor research guidelines.
- Familiarity with compliance areas including export controls, conflicts of interest, human and animal subjects regulations, and controlled unclassified information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews data within the institutional grant management system.
- Manages proposal review and submission, including negotiating agreements with collaborating entities.
- Interprets sponsor guidelines and requirements; collaborates with research administration stakeholders to address questions.
- Conducts final review and submission of proposals and progress reports.
- Ensures compliance throughout the proposal and award lifecycle.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Research Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant research administration experience is required.
- Alternatively, 10 years of proven grant administration experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
