Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, overseeing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of service.
- Support staff training and development to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service and adherence to food safety protocols.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food production to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking with accuracy.
- Supervise kitchen activities including cooking, food handling, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate team coverage, and ensure smooth restaurant flow during busy hours.
- Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment focused on teamwork, hospitality management, and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a motivated and skilled staff team.
- Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and implement strategies for operational efficiency.
- Ensure all food safety standards are met through regular training and inspections.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Strong background in inventory control, budgeting, and food safety regulations.
- Previous experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments preferred; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster team development.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Knowledge of catering, banquet operations, bar service, or coffee shop environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for restaurant operations.
