JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer Intern to join our team in the modular building manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring product quality and reliability through effective quality control processes.
- This is a full-time internship position with a duration of 10 weeks, Monday – Friday.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards for modular building manufacturing processes.
- Conduct inspections and quality tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Collect and analyze data related to product quality, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the documentation of quality processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Participate in quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Provide support to the Quality Engineer in various projects and initiatives as needed.
- Coding experience preferred but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Related Experience:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Basic understanding of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
· Prior internship or coursework related to manufacturing or quality engineering is preferred but not required.
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
