Akkodis is seeking Propulsion Systems Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Tustin, CA (Onsite). Ideally looking for simulation-focused engineer with 2 years of experience in EV/battery systems who can model battery pack performance (charging, discharge, durability) using tools like MATLAB/Simulink or Python to support design and testing decisions
Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Propulsion Systems Engineer Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct propulsion system simulations for client's battery packs, including discharge, durability, and charging behavior analysis.
• Track simulation results and identify next-step actions to inform testing and design decisions.
• Profile and manage simulation workload, ensuring smooth handover to future permanent hires for ongoing programs.
Desired Qualification:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in battery, EV propulsion, or energy storage system simulation.
• Proficiency in simulation tools relevant to battery performance, durability, and charging (MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent).
