Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid). You will be responsible for coding, testing, and debugging software applications, as well as collaborating with multiple teams to ensure quality deliverables.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Developer Job Responsibilities Include
- Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug software applications that support business units or functions.
- Work closely with other engineers and teams to ensure stable, quality deliveries.
- Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
- Create prototypes to prove design concepts and prepare UML diagrams to describe application states.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, technical design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with software development and testing.
- Recommend technological innovations that enhance the organization's competitive advantage.
- Estimate effort for software applications and coordinate with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
- Proficiency in developing RESTful services using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Apache Kafka for online data publishing and consuming.
