CNC Laser Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Overview

The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to process various materials according to specifications. This role involves ensuring high-quality production standards and adhering to safety protocols.

• Location: In Person; 43 Douglas Way, Natural Bridge, VA 24579
• Hours: 2nd Shift: 3 PM to 11 PM
• Pay: Starting Rate is $25.18/hour; after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $27.97
• Shift Differential: 2nd Shift is $1.00/hour

Duties

• Set up laser cutting machine
• Operate laser cutting machine to cut and shape materials according to blueprints or specifications.
• Perform quality checks on cut parts to ensure products meet production needs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including wearing protective gear and ensuring the work environment is safe.
• Document and report all machine operations, including downtime, output, and any technical issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC laser machines in a manufacturing, fabrication, or similar setting preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and safety practices.
