Position Overview:
The Pasta Cart Specialist is responsible for the tableside assembly and presentation of pasta dishes in accordance with Moderna’s hospitality standards. This position combines exceptional guest interaction with precise culinary execution to create an engaging and memorable dining experience. The Pasta Cart Specialist ensures that each pasta dish is prepared, finished, and served with consistency, elegance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble pasta dishes tableside using the designated pasta cart.
- Present and explain the ingredients and preparation process to guests with confidence and professionalism.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and full functionality of the pasta cart and all related equipment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth coordination and timely service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards at all times.
- Refill, restock, and rotate pasta cart ingredients and supplies as needed throughout service.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
- Uphold Moderna’s brand standards for hospitality, guest interaction, and presentation.
- Provide feedback to management on guest preferences, menu improvements, or operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in food service, tableside presentation, or hospitality preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and handling procedures.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
- Experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in Texas.
- Must be TABC certified.
- Must have Valid Food Handlers Certification.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to multi task.
Appearance & Conduct:
- Uniform must be clean, pressed, and properly fitted.
- Hair must be neat and pulled back if long.
- No visible rips or stains in clothing; non-slip shoes required.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor at all times
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools, utensils, and pasta cart equipment.
