Position Overview:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items according to recipe standards and in a timely manner. This position requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and teamwork to ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s quality and presentation expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare all menu items following standardized recipes and portion controls.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout each shift.
- Assist in daily prep tasks and ensure sufficient mise en place for service.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and appearance before dishes leave the kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth service.
- Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Support kitchen efficiency by assisting other stations as needed.
- Contribute to minimizing waste and maintaining food cost targets.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume or upscale kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Must have current Food Handler certification.
- Must have valid Food Handlers Certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in hot or cold environments.
- Must be able to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed.

- Maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times.
- Follow uniform and grooming standards set by the restaurant.
