About the Family

This warm, easygoing family is relocating from San Francisco to Westchester and will be renting in Rye while searching for a long-term home in the Larchmont, Mamaroneck, or Rye area. They are parents to a sweet toddler and expecting their second child at the end of March. With both parents commuting into the city, they’re seeking a kind, proactive, and organized full-time nanny who can provide consistency, care, and stability during this exciting period of transition. The family also has a friendly dog, so comfort with pets is important.

The Role (Day-to-Day Care)

The nanny will primarily care for their 2-year-old, creating a day filled with play, learning, and exploration. Responsibilities include planning activities, attending local classes and playgroups, preparing healthy meals and snacks, and keeping the children’s spaces tidy and organized. Once the baby arrives, the role will expand to support infant routines while maintaining consistency for the toddler.The family values a nanny who takes initiative, looks ahead in the schedule, and maintains a well-balanced routine for the children. They appreciate someone who can provide a loving, structured environment that supports both development and curiosity — someone who anticipates needs and brings calm, capable energy to the home.

Requirements

• 5 years of professional nanny experience (toddler infant experience required)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proactive, dependable, and safety-minded
• Comfortable with dogs
• Valid driver’s license (family car available for use)
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification
• Fully vaccinated (TDaP, flu, and COVID preferred)

Schedule, Pay & Benefits

• Schedule: 50 hours per week guaranteed
• Start Date: Ideally before the holidays; latest by January 5th
• Pay: Competitive hourly rate, DOE
• Benefits: Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid holidays, and sick days
• Travel: Occasional, all expenses covered
• Transportation: Family car available for use on duty
