Position

Sonographer - Vascular Specialty

• Schedule: 5 days a week (Monday - Friday), 8-hour shifts


• Start time varies between 07:00 AM and 09:30 AM based on staffing and cases


• Total hours: 40 hours per week


• Call coverage required from Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM, with rotation among day staff


• Weekend call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM

• Average number of scans per day: 15


• Types of patients include General, OB/GYN, and Vascular

• A minimum of 24 months experience in Ultrasound/Sonographer capacity


• Experience in general and abdomen imaging


• Experience in non-high risk OB/GYN imaging


• Experience in vascular imaging

• Experience with abdomen/RUQ, kidneys, bladder


• Pelvis imaging (transabdominal and transvaginal)


• 1st Trimester OB imaging (transabdominal and transvaginal)


• Testicle/scrotum evaluation


• DVT/venous evaluation of both arms and legs


• Ankle-Brachial Index (ABIs)


• Thyroid imaging


• Aorta and carotid evaluations


• Limited 2nd/3rd trimester OB examinations including BPP, measurements, and fluid checks

• Active ARDMS certification (AB) required


• ARDMS certification in RVT and OB/GYN preferred


• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) required

• Current Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license


• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS)


• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or equivalent from within the last 24 months

Contractors are expected to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, unless the unit is closed.
