Position: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics.

- Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
- Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4.5, Nights: 1:4.5, Weekends: 1:4.5
- Float Required: Yes
- Weekend Coverage: Every Other
- Orientation Hours: 24
- Number of Beds: 27
- Years of Experience Required: 1 year
Qualifications:
- Certifications:
- ACLS (preferred)
- BLS (required)
- Experience:
- Preferred experience in Trauma Level II care
- Patient ratio experience of 1:5
Skills:
The following skills are preferred and will enhance your suitability for this position:
- Gastrointestinal care
- Bariatric surgery*
- Bowel obstruction management
- Colostomy/Ileostomy care
- Feeding tube care and management
- Respiratory management (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, oxygen administration)
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy (including blood product administration)
- Insulin administration and PCA
- Post-operative care experience*
- Isolation precautions and PPE compliance
Work Environment:
- Med/Surg unit
- MS/Tele unit*
- Short Stay - 23 hour Stay Unit*
- Interdisciplinary team support available, including Physical Therapy and Social Services
Department Highlights:
This position is part of a new acute care surgery, trauma, and emergency general surgery unit. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the team's efforts to provide exceptional patient care.
Additional Information:
- Department Uniform: Solid navy blue uniforms are required for licensed nursing personnel. Print tops are not acceptable except where specified.
