Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the role of House Supervisor. This position is suited for a dedicated individual with a strong background in nursing and leadership, particularly in acute care settings. The House Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital, managing staffing needs, and providing exceptional patient care.

• Location: Multiple locations in Oregon, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside.


• Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) or Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)


• Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4, Nights: 1:4, Weekends: 1:4


• Daily Census: Approximately 15 patients


• Number of Beds: 25

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years, with previous experience in a charge role preferred.


• Community Hospital Experience: Preferred


• Trauma Level I or II Experience: Preferred


• Certifications: Required - BLS, ACLS; Preferred - PALS and NRP.


• Charting System: Epic required.


• Skills: Experience with emergency care, crisis intervention, code management, and staffing models. Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., DPH, TJC, OSHA) is strongly preferred.

• Provide supervision and support for nursing staff across all units.


• Manage patient flow and bed management effectively.


• Oversee incident reporting and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.


• Participate in root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.


• Implement emergency preparedness plans and manage crises as they arise.

This position is within a critical access hospital that offers a range of surgical and emergency services, including general surgery, orthopedics, and women’s services. The hospital is supported by an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The facility enjoys a collaborative atmosphere, and there is always administrative support available during shifts.

• Weekend coverage required on a rotating basis.


• Orientation hours: 48 hours.
